Our story
How we got here
॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥ — with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles, honoured first at every new beginning.
With the blessings of Meera & Rajesh Iyer and Lakshmi & Suresh Menon, we joyfully invite you to celebrate with our families.
Ananya grew up in Edison; Vikram flew in from Seattle for a cousin's wedding in 2023 and never really left. Three years, two coasts, and one very patient long-distance relationship later — we're doing it the way our parents dreamed: three days, five ceremonies, and everyone we love under one roof.

Day 1 · 10 AM
Mehendi
At the Iyer family home, Edison. Henna artists from 10 AM — come hungry, lunch is served all afternoon.
Day 2 · 7 PM
Sangeet
Somerset Palace Banquets. The family dance competition is real and the rehearsals were intense. Come ready to cheer — or perform.
Day 3 · 8 AM
Haldi
At the Iyer family home. Wear something you don't mind turning yellow — that's the whole point.
Day 3 · 11 AM
Baraat & Pheras
The baraat departs the hotel at 10:30 sharp. Pheras at 11 AM, muhurtham at 11:40 AM sharp — please be seated by 10:45.
Day 3 · 7 PM
Reception
Somerset Palace Banquets. Dinner, speeches, and dancing until midnight.

Details
Flying in
Fly into Newark (EWR). Family cars will meet every flight on December 9th and 10th — add your flight details to your RSVP and we'll be there.
Where to stay
We've blocked rooms at the Courtyard Edison under 'Iyer–Menon Wedding' until November 20th. Shuttles run between the hotel, the family home, and the banquet hall for every event.
Dress code
Festive Indian formal, all three days. Bright colors encouraged — red is reserved for the bride. Haldi: wear white or yellow, it will get turmeric on it.
Kids & plus-ones
Bring everyone. Desi weddings run on aunties, uncles, and children underfoot — yours are part of the plan. Just add them to the RSVP so we save you a seat.
