What's a surprise baby shower?+
Exactly what it sounds like — the guest of honor doesn't know. The decorations are easy; the hard part is the secrecy: one slip in the family group chat, one preview on the wrong phone, and the surprise is over.
How do you keep the guest of honor from seeing the invite?+
Every link to a Surprise-format page unfurls with a secrecy-safe card: the preview says "A surprise baby shower — Shhh — it's a surprise baby shower" plus the date and venue. The honoree's name, the tagline, and the hero photo never appear in WhatsApp, iMessage, or Facebook previews. With Celebration you can also add a guest password and keep the page out of search engines.
What does the invitation actually say?+
The Surprise format sets the tone for you: the tagline reads "Shhh… a surprise is in the works." and the events come pre-seeded as "Surprise shower" with the note "Shhh — the guest of honor can't see this page. Share it only with fellow conspirators." Every word is editable if you want a different voice.
Can I share it in a group chat without spoiling it?+
Yes — that's the whole point. The share row gives you a copy link and a one-tap WhatsApp button with prefilled invite text ("You're invited to Priya's surprise baby shower!"). Do my guests need an account?+
