Open-house season
The graduation open house, on one page.
Open houses run on a window, not a start time — 2 to 7, stop by when you can. One page carries the window, the address, and the guestbook, so the group chat stops being the invitation. Built for the drop-in party, not adapted from one.

A window, not a start time
Open houses don't start at 2 — they run 2 to 7, and guests come and go. The page leads with the whole window, and Add to calendar carries the full range to every guest's phone, so nobody texts “what time should we come?”
- Drop-in window on the schedule, not a single start time
- Add to calendar with the full 2–7 range
- Ceremony line on the same page: “commencement 10 AM, open house to follow”
02
Casual RSVP, real headcount
Classic open-house etiquette says guests don't need to RSVP — but you're buying food for a crowd. The page's RSVP stays casual (“regrets only” works) while your dashboard quietly builds the headcount. No group-chat polls, no guessing at the sandwich platters.
- Guests RSVP in one tap, no account
- “Regrets only” wording supported
- One dashboard headcount for the food run
03
The memory table and the guestbook, online
Every good open house has a memory table — the diploma, the jersey, the photo boards — and a journal by the door for notes. The gallery and the well-wish wall are the digital versions: guests browse the then-and-now photos and leave a note without an account, and you approve what appears.
- Photo gallery for the memory table
- Well-wish wall — the digital guestbook journal
- Out-of-town family sees it all from afar
04
Gifts, without the awkwardness
Guests will ask what to get the grad — it always happens. The gift-links block holds Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle in one tidy row for the guests who ask, and your page can just as happily say “your presence is the present.”
- Venmo / Cash App / Zelle links in one row
- “Your presence is the present” wording supported
- You never touch the money — links only
“We had the open house 2 to 7 and stopped counting at 90 people. The page had the window, the address, and the guestbook — the group chat finally went quiet.”
Every open-house parent, probably (not a real review — yet)
Questions
Everything else you're wondering
What's the difference between an open house and a graduation party?+
A party has a start time; an open house has a window. Guests come and go between, say, 2 and 7 — nobody is expected to arrive at the beginning or stay to the end, and there's no entertainment schedule. The page is built around that: the whole window leads, so guests never ask “when should we come?”
Do guests RSVP to an open house?+
Traditionally, no — the classic open house is casual enough that RSVPs are optional, and many hosts write “regrets only.” But you still need a food headcount. The page keeps the RSVP casual for guests while your dashboard quietly counts who's coming.
How do I word the drop-in window?+
“Open house, 2–7 PM — stop by anytime.” That's the whole trick. Put the full range on the page and it travels everywhere the link goes, including the Add to calendar button, which carries the window onto each guest's calendar.
What food works for an open house?+
Grazing food, not a sit-down meal: finger foods, a sandwich platter, fruit, and cupcakes instead of a cake that needs cutting at a set time. Avoid anything that can't sit out for a few hours — guests arrive across the whole window.
Do guests bring gifts to an open house?+
If they were invited, a gift or card is customary — and if they can't make it, many still send one. The gift-links block holds Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle for the guests who ask, or your page can say “your presence is the present” and mean it.
Should I send graduation announcements too?+
Announcements and invitations aren't the same thing — an announcement shares the news, and no gift is expected in return. Your page link can travel with the announcement for the people who'd want to celebrate, while the announcement itself stays gift-pressure-free.
Can out-of-town family be part of it?+
Yes — that's the part a paper invite can't do. The memory-table gallery, the well-wish wall, and guest photo uploads mean grandparents three states away see the party unfold and leave a note the grad keeps.
How far ahead should I share the page?+
Three to four weeks for local guests, six for out-of-town — the same rhythm as paper invitations. The link never changes, so you can send it early and update details as the plan firms up.
Is there really no subscription?+
Really. You pay once, and your paid page includes hosting for at least two years from the party date. We email you long before anything ever changes, and we never delete your page outright.
